Hebrews 3:5-6 will be the theme of his message to the Men at Magnolia Cowboy Church on Thursday, June 19. “Moses was a faithful servant but Jesus was a faithful son”! Most men’s identity is based on a servant mentality. A servant does’t have rights with the one he serves. His entire value is based upon his performance. A son has a relationship with his father and draws his identity from him. Most men are orphan’s in the faith. They lack of spiritual fathers. The Apostle Paul told the Corinthians Church “You have 10,000 guardians in Christ but do not have many Fathers, for in Christ Jesus I became your father through the gospel”. The goal of our spiritual journey is to be God’s son and then become a spiritual father.
This message will encourage you to move from being a servant that performs in your spiritual journey to a Son who has an intimate connection with Father God. The Apostle Paul’s goal for his life is found in Philippians 3:10 - “I want to know Christ - yes, to know the power of His resurrection and participation in His sufferings becoming like Him in His death”. A son lives His life in the light of eternity. Intimacy with God is destiny!
